How it works
A broad simulation and benchmark codebase, with per-experiment harnesses rather than a single shared measurement path.
Proteus is the largest mixed repository in this body of work, spanning simulation and benchmark harnesses. It is also where the measurement discipline was most severely tested: six measurement errors were found in its benchmark record, four of which were caught only by listening to the result rather than reading it.
