How it works

Pure-managed baseline H.264 encoding with SIMD kernels; no native interop and no third-party codec dependency.

Kiln is a baseline H.264 encoder written entirely in managed .NET, using SIMD intrinsics rather than interop. It began inside the Proxeno product repository and was extracted as its own project. It is one of two public repositories in this body of work and the most independently verifiable: nine published versions on NuGet.

  • Nine published versions on NuGet, 0.1.0 through 0.6.0.
  • Written in managed .NET with intrinsics rather than interop.
  • One of only two public repositories in this body of work.
